Baby Swim Gift Ideas: Swim Diaper & Swim Vest Sets
Swim Guide · Gifts
By Vivian W · Updated October 2026
The most useful baby swim gift is gear a parent will use every week: a reusable swim diaper plus a swim training vest in the right size. For 6–24 months, pair Ocean Pals ($23.99, or $34.99 for a 2-pack) with Mermaid Dreams ($36.99). For ages 2–6, the Sea Adventure vest is $29.99.
Swim lessons, a pool membership or a first beach holiday are good reasons to give swim gear. Families use it again and again. Below are five ready-made sets built from our three products, with real prices. There's also the one question to ask the parents before you buy.
Ask for weight, not age
Swim gear is sized by weight. Ask the parents quietly, or check the baby's last check-up weight. Ocean Pals comes in 6–12 M (up to 24 lb) and 12–24 M (24–33 lb). Mermaid Dreams fits up to 33 lb, and Sea Adventure fits 33–66 lb. If you're unsure, buy the size that fits today rather than one to grow into. Unused items in their original packaging can be returned within 30 days.

Pick a print they'll love
- Ocean Pals swim diaper: Green with sharks, turtles and fish, or Purple with whales, dolphins and turtles.
- Mermaid Dreams vest: Blue or Pink mermaid print in soft pastels.
- Sea Adventure vest: Blue or Pink ocean print.
Choosing a matching diaper and vest? The Green swim diaper goes with the Blue vest, and the Purple diaper with the Pink vest.
Nice extras to add from elsewhere
We only make swim diapers and swim vests, but these round out a gift: a hooded towel, a waterproof wet bag for the ride home, a swim lesson voucher from a local school, and a card with the pool's swim diaper rules. Our first swim lesson checklist covers the rest.
A gift note that helps
Add a short note with the care basics: rinse the swim diaper in fresh water after every swim and hang it to dry. And a reminder parents always appreciate: swim vests are training aids, not life jackets. An adult stays within arm's reach in the water.
