Use the right steps for the product your child is wearing. Ocean Pals is a reusable swim diaper cover; Mermaid Dreams and Sea Adventure are swim-learning vests for supervised pool practice. Check your facility’s diaper and flotation-aid rules before class. Adult supervision is required at all times.

How to wear Ocean Pals

  1. Check the pool or swim-school diaper rule. Some facilities request a reusable cover; others request double diapering.
  2. Choose the current size from the Size Guide. Do not size up for growth.
  3. If double diapering is required, put the disposable swim diaper against the skin first, then pull Ocean Pals over it.
  4. Pull the waist flat and check both leg openings. They should sit close to the skin without gaps.
  5. Have your child squat and kick gently. Re-adjust if the cover shifts or gaps open.
  6. Change out of the swim diaper after water time.

Ocean Pals is not absorbent like an everyday diaper and provides no buoyancy. It is for snug containment during supervised water time.

How to wear a Baby Paddle Pals swim vest

  1. Confirm the product’s labeled weight range: Mermaid Dreams fits up to 33 lb (15 kg); Sea Adventure fits 33–66 lb (15–30 kg).
  2. Put the vest on over swimwear and position it evenly on the torso.
  3. Fasten and adjust every closure and strap on that model, including the under-leg strap where provided.
  4. Check that the vest sits flat without large chest gaps and still allows comfortable arm movement.
  5. Gently lift at both shoulders. It should stay on the torso and not rise over the ears or face.
  6. Re-check the fit before every swim and stay within arm’s reach.
